I truly love my job! Orthodontics is the best profession in the world, and I cannot imagine doing anything else. I am passionate about both art and science, and my job combines both with the result of healthy, happy patients who love to smile! I am always grateful for the opportunity to help my friends and neighbors live happier lives, and I get to do this each day I come to work.
Dr. Corbett received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968 from Denison University, followed by his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas and his DDS from Ohio State University in 1972. He obtained his Orthodontic Certificate in 1978 from the University of Texas. Since 1983, Dr. Corbett has maintained an active presence as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
Dr. Corbett has a life-long passion and commitment to learning and enjoys taking part in orthodontic continuing education courses and seminars to bring the highest level of care to his patients. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Greater Texas Orthodontic Study Club, University of Texas Orthodontic Alumni Association, Century Club, and the Ninth District Dental Society.
Dr. Corbett has been active with the Brazosport Museum of Natural Science since 1980. He enjoys volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America, St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, Center Stages, and Brazosport Center For Arts and Science. He enjoys serving as a Lay Eucharistic minister, lector, cantor, and choir member.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Corbett has lived in Lake Jackson since 1978. Dr. Corbett and his wife, Beth, have four wonderful children, Kelli, John, Christopher, and Zachary. He enjoys homeschooling his children with his wife and in his spare time loves being outside backpacking, golfing, fishing, or gardening
